Clients/Projects/Activities - Edit Item Rates Tab

This guide explains the fields and functions of the Edit Item Rates tab for the client structure. If you have any additional questions, you can contact our team using the Submit a request button in the top-right corner of this page.

This page lets you set cost and billing rates specific to this item. 

1. Structure
   When editing an item at a level lower than level one, the higher levels will be shown here. 

   
2. Information message
   This message indicates whether rates can be set at this level. If a client structure has rates at a higher or lower level, additional rates cannot be added. You can use the Custom Rates report to view all set rates. 
   
    

3. Global Rate
   This toggle allows you to set global rates for the client structure item. Global rates are applied to all time recordings for this item and its lower levels for all staff members. Setting global rates will remove any per-person rates. For more information about adding global rates, please click here

    
4. Rates Per Person
   This toggle allows you to set rates per staff member for the client structure item. Per Person rates are applied to all time recordings for this item and its lower levels for the staff member. If a staff member's cost rate or bill rate is blank, their staff rate will be used. Setting per person rates will remove any global rates that are set.
