This guide shows you how to add custom rates to your client structure items for all staff members or to individual staff accounts. The cost and bill rates set for client structure items will be used instead of the staff accounts rates.

Setting Global Custom Rates
When a global rate is set for a client structure item, it applies to all staff members who record time for the item or its lower levels.

Click Client

Expand the group that contains the item you want to add a custom rate to. Click the Edit icon.

Click the Rates tab

Set the toggle for Global Rate to Active

The global rates section will now be available. You can add a value for Cost Rate, Bill Rate or both. The value added will be used for any time recorded for this item or its lower levels on the dashboard and reports.
Setting Custom Rates For Individual Staff Members
When a rate is set for a client structure item for a staff member, it applies to any time recordings the staff member makes for the item or its lower levels. Staff members without a custom rate set will use their existing staff rate. For more information about adding new staff rates, please click here

Expand the group that contains the item you want to add a custom rate to. Click the Edit icon.

- Set the toggle for Rates Per Person to Active

The rates per person section is now available. You can add a value for Cost Rate, Bill Rate or both per staff member. The value added will be used for any time recorded for this item or its lower levels by the staff member on the dashboard and reports.
