This guide will show you how to run a report using the Time By Client By Month report as an example.

Click Reports and select Time By Client By Month

Set the From Month and To Month. In this example, we run the report for four months.
Most monthly reports display up to 12 months.
We recommend using the time and rates export when reporting on more than 12 months of data. For a guide on exporting time and rates, please click here.

Client Structure Items
You can choose to restrict the report to a selected item. In this example, we will leave these fields as <All>.
You may have up to 5 client structure levels available.

Detail level
This field lets you select the level at which you want timesheet time reported. We will change this setting later in the example.

Time
You can include all time from timesheets in this report, or only time from timesheet weeks that are locked after the complete button has been clicked.

Run Report Button
Clicking this button will generate a report based on your selected settings.

Report Display
After clicking the run report button, your report will be displayed.
The first column will show the name of the timesheet structure item.
The following columns will show the month and time recordings
The last column shows the total time recordings for each row.

PDF and CSV buttons
Once a report has been run in Timemarker, it can be exported to PDF or CSV by clicking the appropriate button.

Show Filters button
The show filters button at the top of the page lets you update the filters and rerun the report.

Detailed report
In this example, we will run the report for a single client at the lowest detail level to illustrate a more detailed report.
Your company may have different names for your detail levels. The example company uses the following level names: client, project, and activity.

Detailed Report Display
The report breaks down the client's time by project and activity, providing a detailed view of all time spent on this client over the selected months.
