This guide will show you how to export timesheet data using the Time and Rates export. This export lets you create a custom Timemarker export that targets the specific information you need. The data will be exported as a CSV file and can be viewed in Excel or Power BI, or imported into another system.

Click Exports and select Time And Rates

Set the From Date and To Date. In this example, we run the report for four months. The Time and rates export can export time for multiple years if required.

Filters
You can use the following fields to filter the data. In this example, we will leave all fields at their default settings. Each field is explained below.
Office - The export will only return data for the selected office.
Department - The export will only return data for the selected department.
Staff Member - The export will only return data for the selected staff member.
Client - The export will only return data for the selected client.
The name of this field is set on the Settings / Company page. Your field name may be different.
Time - Sets whether the export includes all timesheets or only completed/approved timesheets.
When applying multiple filters, data will be shown only where all filters match. For example, if you select a client and a department, only the time recorded by staff for that department and client will be exported.

Excluded and Included columns
This section lets you select the columns to include in the export. Only columns listed in the included columns list will be exported. A column can be moved by clicking the column name to highlight it and clicking the right arrow. It can also be removed from this list by selecting it and clicking the left arrow.
Clicking multiple column names will select them. A column name can be unselected by clicking it again.
Company Name and Hours have been moved to the Included Columns in this example.

Clicking this button will generate an export based on your selected settings.

Export Example
This is a simple export that shows all recorded hours for the company. In the following steps, we add columns to make a more advanced export.

Adding Timesheet Structure Columns
In this step, we will add timesheet structure columns to the export.
In our example, these are called Client, Project and Activity. Level names are set on the Settings / Company page, and your names may differ.

Adding Rates
We will add the cost and bill value columns to display the total cost and bill value of recorded hours.

The exported hours now show each row's total cost value and bill value. A full list of available columns is provided in the section below.Saved Profiles
Saved profiles let you save the current export settings or select previously saved settings. There are two types of saved profiles:
Personal - Available only to you.
Company - Available to all admins.-
Adding a new Saved Profile
You can add a new saved profile by clicking the Saved Profile dropdown and selecting + Save New Profile.

Saving the profile
Add a name for the profile, set a profile type, and click Save. The profile will now be saved with the current export settings.

Selecting a Saved Profile
You can select any saved profile from the Saved Profile dropdown.

Editing a Saved Profile
You can edit any existing saved profile by selecting it and clicking Edit. Clicking Save will update the saved profile settings. Clicking delete will remove the saved profile.
All Time And Rate Columns
This section lists all column names available for the time and rates export.-
Company Name
Includes the company name in the export. -
Office
Includes the name of the office for which the hours have been recorded in the export. Offices are set on the staff member's rate page. For a guide on staff rates, please click here. -
Office External Ref
Includes the external reference code set for the office, if one exists. -
Office Account Code
Includes the Account Code assigned to the office, if one has been set. -
Department
Includes the name of the department for which the hours have been recorded in the export. Departments are set on the staff member's rate page. For a guide on staff rates, please click here. -
Department External Ref
Includes the external reference code set for the department, if one exists. -
Department Account Code
Includes the Account Code assigned to the department, if one has been set. -
Job Title
Includes the name of the job title for which the hours have been recorded in the export. Job titles are set on the staff member's rate page. For a guide on staff rates, please click here. -
Job Title External Ref
Includes the external reference code set for the job title, if one exists. -
Job Title Account Code
Includes the Account Code assigned to the job title, if one has been set. -
Staff Name
Includes the staff member's name who recorded the hours. -
Staff External Ref
Includes the external reference code set for the staff member if one has been set. -
Staff Account Code
Includes the Account Code assigned to the staff member, if one has been set. -
Client - This field name is set on the Settings / Company page as your Level 1 name.
Includes the name of the level 1 item hours that have been recorded. -
Client External Ref
Includes the external reference code set for the item, if one exists. -
Client Account Code
Includes the Account Code set for the item if one has been set. -
Project - This field name is set on the Settings / Company page as your Level 2 name.
Includes the name of the level 2 item hours that have been recorded. -

Includes the external reference code set for the item if one has been set. -
Project Account Code
Includes the Account Code set for the item if one has been set. -
Activity - This field name is set on the Settings / Company page as your Level 3 name.
Includes the name of the level 3 item hours that have been recorded -
Activity External Ref
Includes the external reference code set for the item, if one exists. -
Activity Account Code
Includes the Account Code set for the item if one has been set. -
Hours
Includes the total number of hours recorded. -
Hourly Cost Rate
Shows the staff member's hourly cost rate for the recorded hours. Cost Rates are set on the staff rates page. For a guide on staff rates, please click here. -
Cost Value
Shows the total cost value of the recorded hours. -
Hourly Bill Rate
Shows the staff member's hourly bill rate for the recorded hours. Bill Rates are set on the staff rates page. For a guide on staff rates, please click here. -
Bill Value
Shows the total bill value of the recorded hours. -
Non-Billable
Indicates if the recorded hours are for a billable or non-billable item. -
Month
Separates recorded hours by the month they were recorded. -
Week
Separates recorded hours by the week they were recorded. -
Date
Separates the recorded hours by the day they were recorded. -
Notes
Includes any notes recorded in the timesheet. -
Start Date
Includes the staff member's start date. -
Leaving Date
Includes the staff member's leaving date. -
Weekly Required Hours
Includes the staff member's weekly required hours. -
Completed
It shows whether the timesheet week the hours are recorded for has been completed. -
Timesheet Approved By
Displays the staff member who approved the timesheet for the week in which the hours are recorded. -
Timesheet Approved Date
Displays the date the timesheet was approved.
