This guide shows you how to export staff data using the Staff export. This export lets you create a custom Timemarker export that targets specific information.

Click Exports and select Staff

Filters
You can use the following fields to filter the data. In this example, we will leave all fields at their default settings. Each field is explained below.
Department - The export will only return data for the selected department.
Staff Member - The export will only return data for the selected staff member.
Staff Status - Sets whether data should be returned for staff member accounts that are currently active, inactive, or both.
Staff Rates - Determines whether the exported data shows the staff member's current rate or all rates for their account. Staff rates set office, department, job title, required weekly hours and the cost and bill rates.

Excluded and Included columns
This section lets you select which columns to include in the export. Only columns listed in the included columns list will be exported. A column can be moved by clicking the column name to highlight it and clicking the right arrow. It can also be removed from this list by selecting it and clicking the left arrow.
Clicking multiple column names will select them. A column name can be unselected by clicking it again.
Staff Name, Email and Start date have been moved to the Included Columns in this example.

Export Button
Clicking this button will generate an export based on your selected settings.

Export Example
This is a simple export that shows the staff name, email address, and start date for all active accounts. In the following steps, we add columns to make a more advanced export.

All Staff Updates Columns
This section lists all column names available for the staff updates export.-
Staff Id
This is the staff member's unique identifier in Timemarker, used when importing data for this staff member. -
Company Name
Includes the company name in the export. -
Email
Shows the staff member's email address. -
Staff Name
Shows the staff member's name. -
Start Date
Shows the staff member's start date. This is the earliest date they can record time for. -
Leaving Date
Shows the staff member's leaving date. The account is marked as inactive once this date has passed. -
Last Completed Timesheet
This displays the date of the staff member's most recent completed timesheet. When logged in, the staff member is taken to the timesheet for the following week. -
External Ref
Shows the staff member's external ref, if one has been set. -
Account Code
Shows the staff member's account code, if one has been set. -
Effective From
Shows the start date of the staff rate. -
Effective To
Shows the end date of the staff rate, if one has been set. -
Weekly Required Hours
Shows the staff members' weekly required hours for this rate. The staff member must record at least this number of hours before the timesheet can be completed. -
Hourly Cost Rate
Shows the staff member's hourly cost rate for their most recent staff rate. -
Hourly Bill Rate
Shows the staff member's hourly bill rate for their most recent staff rate. -
Office
Shows the staff member's office for their most recent staff rate. -
Department
Shows the staff member's department for their most recent staff rate. -
Job Title
Shows the staff member's job title for their most recent staff rate.
